Here I have another piece from the well-known Danish ceramics workshop Søholm Keramik from the island of Bornholm for you. The ceramist Einar Johansen worked for Søholm Ceramics from 1958-1966 and is now considered one of the most sought-after designers from Søholm, which is why ceramics by him are rare to find. This ashtray with the serial number 2/28 is an outstanding example of work from the 1960s from the Søholm ceramics workshop. What is particularly striking is the design with the ornamental pattern and the strong blue glazing, which creates fascinating contrasts. Whether used as an ashtray or as a decoration, this piece is definitely an eye-catcher. In my other ads you will find many more matching objects by Søholm Ceramics and Einar Johansen.
Condition: undamaged with normal signs of age, with manufacturer's stamp, signature and serial number on the bottom.
