Here I have this large version of Michael Andersen's famous baptismal font bowl for you. Bornholm is known for the variety of ceramics and, of course, for well-known manufacturers such as Michael Andersen, whose work is still a classic of Danish design and enjoys a high reputation worldwide. This exceptional bowl with the serial number 4645-2 is a replica of an ancient Bornholm baptismal font, created around the year 1300 and found in Aa Kirke on Bornholm. The contrasts between the brown ceramics and the delicate blue painting are particularly beautiful, allowing the scenes to come into their own. This bowl looks particularly good on mid-century furniture. You can find many more wall plates, lamps and bowls from the Bornholm potteries in my other advertisements.
Condition: undamaged with normal signs of age, with manufacturer's stamp on the underside.
